After finding a grant program to help small communities with work zone safety concerns, Mondamin City Clerk Alyx Hirst applied and recently the City of Mondamin was awarded one of 12 grants from the 2021 Iowa Local Technical Assistance Program Small City Work Zone Sign Package Program, sponsored by the Iowa Department of Transportation.

The Logan Kiwanis Club and the Logan Chamber of Commerce partnered to host the event on Saturday, March 27, at the Logan Community Center. Though the two organizations generally host three such occasions every year, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented earlier gatherings.
