Charles Wisecup, age 86 of Missouri Valley passed away March 5, 2023, in Mesa, Ariz. Charles T. Wisecup was born June 5, 1936, to Charles “Artie” Wisecup and Agnes Viola Tollefson in Missouri Valley. He was united in marriage to Julianne Aronson on Aug. 9, 1959.

Charlie farmed in the Missouri Valley area his entire life where he was involved with several boards and organizations. He founded his favorite “hobby”, the Wisecup Farm Museum in the early 2000’s. He enjoyed going to Lake of the Ozarks in the summer, spending winters in Arizona and listening to country music. Above all, family was the upmost important to him.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Julie Wisecup; children, Sue (Bryan) Honnor, Lee (Teresa) Wisecup and Tammy Wisecup; grandchildren, Arthur Wisecup, Caitlyn (Brandon) Crom, Garth (Devin) Brown and Heath Brown; great-grandchildren, Gemma Brown and Willa Brown; sisters, Barbara Wisecup and Jackey Arrick as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Ann Martin and Linda Harney; and an infant brother, William Wisecup.

A Celebration of Charlie’s Life will be held Sunday, April 2, 2023, from 1-5 PM at Wishing Hills Barn Event Venue (2218 260th St.) near Missouri Valley. Memorial donations can be made in care of the family for future designation.
