City of Dunlap July 9, 2025 Mayor Knickman called the regular council meeting to order on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 7:11pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall pursuant to law with the following council members present: Bonsall, Schauer, Wingrove; Absent: Gunia, Murphy. Motion by Schauer second by Bonsall to approve the agenda. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Wingrove second by Schauer to approve June 9 regular minutes. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Bonsall second by Wingrove to approve payment of bills. All in favor, motion carried. Building Permits; Mark Mefferd-garage. Died for lack of motion. It will go to BOA. Justin Schaben gave the 4th of July update. Meredith Van Houten gave the grant update; the grant team is planning on applying for the King Grant for the pool and parks. Paula Evans gave the Library Report. Meredith Van Houten gave the water/wastewater update. She let the Council know that Electric Pump is going to be to work at the lift station on one of the pumps. King Construction will be out on the 15th to start the generator at the booster station. Sarah Malone spoke under public input about putting a stop sing on 9th and Eaton. Motion by Schauer second by Bonsall to approve 1st/Remsen, 1st/Eaton and Pierrepont/Hwy 30 as street improvement this year. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Wingrove to approve Art in the Park/color run. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Bonsall second by Schauer to approve stop sign at 9th & Eaton and a yield sign at 9th & Eagle. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Wingrove to adjourn at 8:06pm.
