City of Dunlap September 10, 2025 Mayor Knickman called the regular council meeting to order on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 7:00pm in the Council Chambers, City Hall pursuant to law with the following council members present: Bonsall, Schauer, Wingrove, Gunia, Murphy. Motion by Schauer second by Bonsall to approve the agenda. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Murphy second by Wingrove to approve August 13 regular minutes. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Murphy second by Wingrove to approve payment of bills. All in favor, motion carried. No action was taken on consent agenda items; Building Permits; Josh Lary-fence not signed due to no survey or neighbor signature. Paula Evans gave the Library Report. Tony Warnock gave an update on the lagoons. Mary Jo Bonsall spoke under Public Input about adding a fee on the water bill to start saving for the lagoon project. Mayor Knickman spoke about trees needing trimmed due to complaints from several citizens. Letters about trimming trees 15 feet above streets and alleys will be issued. Chief Miller gave an update on the department. Wages were discussed but Council would like more time to look at it. A special meeting was set for Tuesday, September 16th at 5pm. Property Nuisances were discussed; letters/verbal warnings will be going out. Motion by Schauer second by Gunia to approve bid from Brad Malone to tear down the garage by the City Shed. All in favor, motion carried. Motion by Schauer second by Bonsall to approve Lansik Tree Service bid for yearly tree removals. All in favor, motion carried. Main Street intersections were discussed. Motion by Gunia second by Wingrove to adjourn at 8:43 pm. All in favor, motion carried. These minutes will be approved at the next regular council meeting.
