CITY OF LOGAN CITY COUNCIL MEETING 108 W. 4th STREET March 31, 2025 At 6:00 P.M. Mayor McDonald called the special city council meeting to order. Agenda item 2 was the Pledge of Allegiance. Agenda item 3 was roll call. Council Members DeWitt, Hinkel, Troshynski and Mayor McDonald were present. Council Members Moss and Sporrer were absent. Agenda item 4 was to approve the agenda. Motion was made by Troshynski and seconded by DeWitt to approve the agenda. 3 ayes. Agenda item 5 was to approve a motion to go into closed session according to Chapter 21.5(1)(j) to discuss the purchase or sale of particular real estate only where premature disclosure could be reasonably expected to increase the price the governmental body would have to pay for that property or reduce the price the governmental body would receive for that property. Motion was made by Hinkel and seconded by Troshynski to go into closed session at 6:01pm. 3 ayes. Agenda item 6 was to approve a motion to come out of closed session. Motion was made by Troshynski and seconded by DeWitt to come out of closed session at 6:36pm. 3 ayes. Agenda item 7 was to discuss and approve a motion to sell or make an offer on a particular parcel of property. Motion was made by Hinkel and seconded by Troshynski to purchase the property located at 112 N 3rd Ave in Logan for a purchase price of $250,000 with a $1,000 earnest deposit. Offer is good for 48 hours. 3 ayes. Agenda item 8 was discuss and approve a motion to advertise for temporary summer maintenance help. Motion was made by Hinkel and seconded by DeWitt to advertise for temporary summer maintenance help. 3 ayes. Agenda item 9 was the Clerk’s report. Agenda item 10 was citizen’s questions/comments.
