CITY OF MONDAMIN SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Mondamin City Hall Monday, April 7, 2025 6:30 P.M. 1. Opening of Meeting a. Mayor Jamie Howrey called the meeting to order at 6:31 p.m., leading those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. b. Roll Call Council members present: Mary Seago, John Glennie, and Jim Rains. Karen Breyfogle was present by phone. Council absent: Chad Wilson. Staff present: Alyx Hirst. Public present: None. c. Approval of Agenda Motion made to approve agenda by J. Rains, with a second by J. Glennie. Motion carried 4-0. 2. Public Comments None 3. New Business a. Public Hearing on Proposed Property Taxation for FY2025-2026 Motion to open public hearing at 6:32 p.m. made by K. Breyfogle with a second from M. Seago. Motion carried 4-0. Clerk Hirst stated no comments were received and no comments from the public were heard. Mary Seago stated that she would like us to see if we can levy for capital improvements in the future. Alyx stated that she was unsure how that process worked but together they could investigate it. Clerk Hirst reviewed the tax levy document for Mondamin and provided notices from surrounding towns so the council could make a comparison. Motion to close the public hearing by K. Breyfogle at 6:42 p.m. with a second by M. Seago. Motion carried 4-0. 4. Adjourn Having no further business to conduct, J. Rains made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Seconded by M. Seago. Motion carried 4-0. The meeting was adjourned at 6:42 p.m. These minutes are as recorded by the Mondamin City Clerk and subject to approval at the next regular city council meeting.
