He is in the process of ordering supplies for the new City Hall service window, and he has applied for a grant to help pay for replacing the basketball court as the insurance policy excluded repairs to the court. * Property Clean-up – Mayor Mitsch addressed the property owner about the brush pile complaint and the pile has been cleared. New Business: * 320 2nd Street – C Fichter: Updated the council on the active property cases and new ordinances. * AFR – C Fichter: Gave the Council an overview of the AFR & SRF Report and stated it was the best budget year the city has had. * First Reading Ordinance – Code of Conduct for City Facilities: Approved 1st M Dreessen 2nd K Wilson Yes – 3-0 * First Reading Ordinance – Requirement for Utilities of Habitable Structures: Motion was made to serve R Erwin and approved 1st M Dreessen 2nd S Baumfalk Yes – 3-0 * Vacant Council Seat: Decision was made to place an ad for applicants; 1st K Wilson 2nd S Baumfalk Yes – 3-0 * Garbage Pickup Contract: Tabled until more information is gathered. Clerk Report: H Nejedly is continuing to work as a contract employee. Maintenance, Water and Sewer Report: T Noah – Reported the USDA water project is moving forward, and the city should get an offer by mid spring. The part-time help will have his probation period extended for an additional three months. Fire Department: T Noah – Reported the Fire Dept. is doing well and received their new gear paid for with Grants. Open Discussion: Mayor Mitsch appointed K Wilson as Mayor Pro Tem.
