HARRISON COUNTY LANDFILL COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES February 13, 2025 The HCLC regular meeting was called to order at 10:30 a.m., February 13, 2025 by Chairman Struble. Roll call showed Representatives: Anderson, Breyfogle, Woodward, Weigelt, Kreger, Rife. Also in attendance was Manager Tyler Hinkel. Item #1) Approval of agenda. Motion was made by Weigelt and seconded by Anderson to approve the agenda . 7 ayes. Item #2) Review of the Meeting Minutes, from 1-9-25. Motion was made by Breyfogle and seconded by Kerger to approve 1-9-25 meeting minutes. 7 ayes Item #3) The budget and claims were reviewed. The board went through the bills submitted for the month and the checking and savings accounts. Motion was made by Breyfogle and seconded by Anderson to approve the budget and claims. 7 ayes Item #4) was for Questions/Concerns/Misc. Information that the Representatives or Hinkel has: A) Hinkel shared that he had completed a 4 day Debris Management Course through FEMA. He and EMA coordinator Castillo will be collaborating on drafting a plan for Harrison County. B) Two employees are currently working on their HAZWOPER certification for the HHW program. Item #5) Reports – Drop-Box Recycling Reports – Misc. Information/New Articles were looked at. Item #6) EMS report – Discussion on whether or not to remain in the EMS program. It was decided to continue EMS for FY26. Kerger had to leave the meeting. Item #7) Matt Kuhlenegle presented a proposal from SCS engineers for a permit revision and cell design. Rife motioned to accept the proposal to not exceed $69,720. Breyfogle seconded. 7 Ayes Item #8) Bids were reviewed for replacing the overhead door on the shop. Rife Motioned to approve the bid from Norm’s Door Service for $7,475. Woodward seconded. 6 ayes Item #9) Budget work Motion to adjourn at 11:37 a.m. by Breyfogle seconded by Anderson. 6 ayes.
