Harrison County Supervisors Meeting January 22, 2026 Chairman Brian Rife called the meeting to order at 9:00am in the Harrison County Boardroom with members Tony Smith and Rebecca Wilkerson in attendance. Motion to approve the tentative agenda was made by Wilkerson, second by Smith. Motion carried. Minutes from January 15th and 21st were approved on a motion by Wilkerson, second by Smith. Motion carried. Attendance: Auditor Megan Reffett, Paul Rhoten, David Sherer, Brad Doyle, Lynn Goodrich, Todd Denton, Michele Stirtz Harrison County Fair Board Trista McLaughlin, fair manager, and Riley Kurth, board president, presented to the Board updates on the 2025 fair and all the activities that were held. The Board discussed future activities that they would like to see at the fair and discussed the benefits that the fair brings. The board thanked them for coming in and agreed to consider them during the budget process. Conservation Bank Reconciliation The Board reviewed the bank reconciliation for the Harrison County Conservation Department. US Bank Handwritten Warrant The Board approved the handwritten to US Bank in the amount of $7,048.40 with a motion by Smith, second by Wilkerson. Motion carried. Comprehensive Plan The Board discussed that the Comprehensive Plan changes that were requested have been made and they would like to see a final copy. No action was taken. Budget Discussion for FY27 The Board met with Public Health director and Jail administrator to discuss the additional changes that were requested by the board last week. The Board also discussed the fair budget and agreed to fund the requested $24,500. Member Wilkerson felt it would be best to reduce the amount for the fair as well since all departments are being asked to reduce. The Board also discussed potential increases for property, health, and IMWCA insurance. Comment No public comments were made.
