Larry K. Kerger, age 73, of Missouri Valley, passed away early Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at his home. Larry was born Feb. 1, 1950, in Omaha, Neb., to Kenneth and Rosemary (McKimmey) Kerger. He was married to Jenelle McCurley Nov. 23, 1968, in Missouri Valley. He was employed at Snow Manufacturing Company as a line painter and at the University of Nebraska Medical Center as a pressman. Larry retired in 2012. He enjoyed photography, bird watching, woodworking and DIY, gardening, football, baseball, and cooking. Larry was active in the Community of Christ Church in Persia.
Survivors include his sister, Karen and her husband Duane Otto; his two sons, Eric and his wife Jennifer of Ankeny, Trenton John of Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Kyle, Rachel, Gillian, and Corwin Kerger.
Visitation and celebration of life was held Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023 at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Pastor Connie Mcwilliams and Pastor Kirk Parsons officiated. The music selections were “He Stopped Loving Her Today”, “Go Rest High”, “Healing Rain”, “Libiamo” and “It is Well With My Soul”.
