LeRoy Dale 'Jeb' Crom, 68, died on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023, at his home in Logan. He was born on Sept. 12, 1955, in Oakland, Neb., to Raymond and Norma Jean (Magill) Crom. He grew up and attended school in Tekamah, Neb. Jeb was a jack of all trades but enjoyed working construction, mainly working in the concrete and carpentry business.
Jeb loved to go hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing pool and softball. When he wasn’t playing, he spent time umping the games. In the fall Jeb helped set up duck blinds for corporate hunting trips for large companies from the Omaha area.
Jeb was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Norma Jean Schroeder of Tekamah; daughter, Brenda (Mike) Shields of Lincoln, Neb.; two grandchildren, Andrew and Emma; brother, Norman (Vickie) Barr of Tekamah; sisters, Debbie (Neil) Dunn of Craig, Neb. and Denise Cowell of Tekamah; special friend, Vicky Lynch of Logan; nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
