Elementary Principal Jill Kiger Noteworthy events: * Jimmy Dawson visited from Capturing Kids Heart on February 12. The elementary process champions team created three goals with his help: - Empowering students to greet at the door - Empowering students to give verbal and/or written affirmations to other students and staff, both in the classroom and around campus - Using non-verbal hand signals to bring the class to attention or stop side-bar conversations * Mrs. Kiger has already noticed many teachers adding student greeters and an increased use of the hand signals. * Shout out to the teachers and Mrs. Martinsdale for all their work on creating a video to share with families highlighting the Capturing Kids Heart process. I can’t wait for you to see it! * Mrs. Thompson is helping us prepare for the ISASP tests in March and April. We appreciate all the behind the scenes work she does to get things ready to go. She is teaching a new college-level course, working with students at a deeper level, and really leading the Counseling Department into new areas of growth. * Daniel Mikels is such a great person to have on our staff. He keeps me in line with lots of things as well as acts as a sounding board for ideas. His authentic way of communication is very beneficial to me as a leader. * Brenda Bolte - Brenda and Mr. Hedger were able to share some open conversation recently and she was telling me about all of her years of service.
