Notice of Public Comment Period Harrison County Hazard Mitigation Plan The Harrison County Emergency Management Agency is seeking public comments for the final draft of the 2026 update to the Harrison County Hazard Mitigation Plan. This plan complies with both Federal and State regulations regarding hazard mitigation and will bring the current Harrison County Hazard mitigation plan into compliance with FEMA. Public comments may be made in writing to Glenn Birks, Harrison County EMA, 116 N 2nd Avenue, Logan, IA, by September 30, 2026. A copy of the plan can be found online at www.swipco.org/public-notices. After all comments are addressed, the final plan will be brought to the Harrison County Board of Supervisors for review and approval. Any questions can be addressed to Dani Briggs, Southwest Iowa Planning Council, 712-243-4196 or Glenn Birks 712-644-2353. Glenn Birks, Harrison County Emergency Management Director HCTR 9-23-26
