PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MONDAY, OCTOBER 28, 2024 MISSOURI VALLEY PUBLIC LIBRARY Dennis Smith called the meeting to order at 8:02 a.m. with the following board members present; Minnie Fisher, Mike Nielsen, Mike Dworak, and Daryl Fichter. Others in attendance were Kevin Taylor, John Harrison, Katie Moyer, and Holly Jackson with SWIPCO. Motion to approve Agenda for October 28, 2024, made by Fisher, second by Nielsen. Motion passes. Discussion was had on the new Zoning Ordinance changes and updates. Harrison stated he revised the enforcement procedures and cleaned up wording regarding the Board of Adjustments section. Discussion was had on the new Missouri Valley Comprehensive Plan. Harrison handed out a list of Steering Committee members. Jackson has sent members a survey to decide when the first Steering Committee meeting will be. She questioned what the timeline is. She stated that the Zoning Codes need to match what is in the Comprehensive Plan. As the surveys come in, a meeting will be set up. There were no comments to provide to the Council. Councilman Taylor apologized if anyone felt threatened by him at the last meeting. Motion to adjourn at 8:28 a.m. made by Fisher, second by Fichter. Motion passes. MVTN 11-6-24
