Steven H. Rosengren, 74

Steven Hugo Rosengren was born Nov. 10, 1947, in Logan, to Peter and Marie (Holmberg) Rosengren. He attended country school through eighth grade and then attended Logan-Magnolia High School, where he enjoyed wrestling and football. He graduated in 1965 and attended Iowa State University one semester and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served until 1968 when he received a hardship discharge (due to a serious farm accident to his father). He returned to help on the farm.

In 1971-1972, he attended New Tribes Bible Institute in Waukesha, Wis., where he met and later married, Linda Humphreys. Together they went into missionary training and went on to serve the Lord for over 30 years with the Wana people of Sulawesi, Indonesia.

On Saturday, Dec. 4, Steve suffered a massive stroke at home and was transported to the hospital where he went to be with the Lord he loved and served on Dec. 7, 2021.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and young son, Kevin Douglas Rosengren. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Humphreys) Rosengren of Durham, Ontario; children, Shane Rosengren and wife, Libby (Hatfield) of Lincoln, Neb., Shelly and husband Jason Estelle of Orlando, Fla., and Stacy and husband Jeff Hunt of Marble Rock; grandchildren, Dane, Arel, Liam and Heidi Rosengren, Shawn, Drew and Cora Estelle, and Micah and Jaylah Hunt; brother, Douglas Rosengren and sister-in-law Joyce (Gash) Rosengren of Logan; and many other relatives and friends.
