Sylvia Joan Marshall of Omaha, Neb. was born May 17, 1959, and passed away July 20, 2023.
Sylvia is survived by sisters, Cynthia Withrow (Bob), Charlotte Pfalzgraf (Kellye, deceased), Pamela Marshall, Gina Nylund (Dirk); her cherished Aunt Ina Obrecht; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Upon completing her education at Jenny Edmundson School of Nursing, she truly enjoyed her work with patients at Douglas County Health Center, where she was employed for over 30 years. After retiring she challenged herself to keep learning as she completed dog grooming classes (we don’t get that one either) and culinary training (which we all benefited from). She loved to travel and visit friends and family. Full of fun and loving to play, she was often the ringmaster at gatherings making them a special time for everyone.
Sylvia died after a brave battle with many health issues. She was surrounded by her sisters who love her and will miss her. She had many friends and family waiting for her in Heaven as she ended her awesome trip through life.
Her life will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 3, at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley, with niece Reverend Sami Pfalzgraf officiating. A light lunch will follow at the Eagles Club.
Sylvia and her sisters request no memorial donations but rather that you take time that day to laugh, be with someone or something you love, and enjoy this one glorious day in her honor.
