Wendi J. Meadows-Bailey, age 52, of Fremont, Neb., passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at UNMC in Omaha, Neb.
Wendi was born Aug. 26, 1971, in Auburn, Neb., to Willard and Linda ‘Carson’ Meadows. She was raised in Missouri Valley and graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1989. She attended Bahner College of Hairstyling in Fremont and worked at Lord’s and Ladies in Missouri Valley. Wendi moved to Fremont in 1997, and worked at Oriental Trading and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. The last several years she worked for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. While working at O’Reilly’s she met Ian Bailey and have been together since 2015, getting married in 2020. Wendi was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.
Survivors: Husband, Ian; son, Nick (Kassara) Meadows of Oakland; daughter, Cierra (Nick) Paulson Feck of Fremont; bonus son, Matthew Bailey of Fremont; grandchildren, Braxton and Makynleigh Meadows, Kaison Paulson; parents, Wally and Linda Meadows of Fremont; brother, Russ (Dawn) Meadows of Missouri Valley; sister, Beth (Gary) Mullins of Fremont; father-in-law, Bill Bailey of Plattsmouth; mother-in-law, Karyl Rammel of Miamisburg, Ohio; dog, Ruby; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 10am, Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8pm with the family present from 5-8pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Memorials may be directed to the family.
