WEST HARRISON COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION MONTHLY MEETING – 6:30 PM November 12, 2025 LIBRARY – MONDAMIN, IA The West Harrison Community School District Board of Education met in regular session with the following present: Randy Wohlers, Julie Kuhlman, Hillary Stevenson, and Tammy Flint. Directors. Marty Fonley, Superintendent, Jackie Fonley, Principal, Tonya Radil, Board Secretary/Treasurer Visitors. Whea Representative Michelle Lewis, Brooke Cooper, and John Glennie. Called to Order. The meeting was called to order in the Library at 6:30 p.m. by President Wohlers. Roll Call. Consent Agenda. A motion was made by Director Kuhlman and seconded by Director Flint to consent to the agenda, the monthly bills, and the board minutes from October 8, 2025. No Discussion. Directors: Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, and Flint aye. 3-0 motion carried. Public Items of Discussion. Board Items of Discussion. Director Stevenson entered the meeting. Human Resources. A motion was made by Director Kuhlman and seconded by Director Flint to approve Steve Forbes as the junior high girls’ basketball coach and Missy Etter as the high school football cheer coach. No Discussion. Directors Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Flint aye, and Stevenson aye. 4-0 motion carried. Consideration of FY 25-26 Fundraisers. No fundraisers at this time. Consideration of the SIAC Members. A motion was made by Director Stevenson and seconded by Director Flint to approve the SIAC members, Shannon Cox, Rachel Ortiz, Donella Pauli, Gary Smith, Maggie Rains, Amanda Lawrenson, Jason Sherer, Emily Westwood, Stephanie Lee, Scott Ortiz, Karen Breyfogle, Makinzie Forsen, Brian Rife, John Glennie, Halie Stirtz, Ben Nuzum, Todd Goodwater, and RaeLea Herman. The SIAC committee will meet in the next few weeks, and its recommendations will be ready for consideration at the December board meeting. Directors: Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Stevenson aye, and Flint aye. 4-0 motion carried. Consideration of the Election Ballot for the Green Hills AEA. A motion was made by Director Kuhlman and seconded by Director Stevenson to elect Mr. Edwin P. Gambs as Director of District 5. No Discussion. Directors: Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Flint aye, and Stevenson aye. 4-0 motion carried. Consideration of Shared Ag Position. A motion was made by Director Flint and seconded by Director Kuhlman to approve the shared Ag position. By sharing the AG position, we can utilize Mr. Goodwater to assist with Work-Based Learning, support students attending the Buss Center, and provide additional student support in the office. Discussion. Directors: Wohlers aye, Kuhlman aye, Flint aye, and Stevenson aye. 4-0 motion carried. Consideration of Water Softener Replacement. A motion was made by Director Stevenson and seconded by Director Kuhlman to replace the water softeners. Discussion.
