CITY OF MISSOURI VALLEY SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM FRIDAY, MARCH 8, 2024 10:00 A.M. Mayor Pro-Tem Struble presided over the meeting and called it to order at 10:00 a.m. with the following Council Members present: Keizer, Stueve, and Taylor. Councilman Tuttle joined via Zoom. Mayor Kelly was absent. Citizens in attendance were Rich Gochenour, John Harrison, Katie Moyer, and Dakoda Tish. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Motion to approve Agenda for March 8, 2024, made by Keizer, second by Taylor. Motion passes. There were no citizen inquiries. Motion to approve Resolution 24-12 providing notice of hearing on proposed plans, specifications, forms of contract, and estimate of cost for the Fire Station Addition Project, and the taking of bids thereof made by Taylor, second by Stueve. Motion passes. Budget Workshop: City Administrator Colglazier and Dakoda Tish discussed the wastewater sampler needed for the sewer lagoons. Tish recommended a new unit. Council decided they would like more information before they make a decision. The council discussed what streets they would like to budget for. Tuttle would like to see 1st Street widened and a bike path added. The council decided to start on 4th Street, make 1st Street a project for which to start applying for grants, and add 7th Street. Colglazier updated the Council on the March 7, 2024, meeting with 500 E Erie LLC. The meeting could not take place because a second party did not show up. No Mayor comments.
