CITY OF WOODBINE ORDINANCE #2026-2-1 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE II – ADMINISTRATION, BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS - CHAPTER 9 – LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WOODBINE, IOWA. WHEREAS, the City council finds it necessary to amend the provisions of the Code of Ordinances to provide a City Contracted garbage service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the City council of Woodbine, Iowa as follows: SECTION I. AMEND CHAPTER 9 – LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUESTEES. The Code of Ordinances of the City of Woodbine, Iowa, is amended by deleting and adding the following text: Chapter 9 – Library Board of Trustees 2-9-2 LIBRARY TRUSTEES The Board of Trustees of the Library, hereinafter referred to as the Board, consists of eight (8) four (4) resident members and one (1) non-resident member. All resident members are to be appointed by the Mayor with the approval of the Council. The non-resident member is to be appointed by the Mayor with approval of the County Board of Supervisors. SECTION 2. REPEALER. All ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE. If any section, provision, or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. SECTION 4. WHEN EFFECTIVE. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
