ORDINANCE # 07162026-S AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SEWER RATES BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PISGAH, IOWA: SECTION 1. Purpose. The purpose of this ordinance is to provide an adjustment to the sewer utility rates charged by the City of Pisgah, Iowa. SECTION 2. Amended. Section 6-5-10, subsection 2, of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Pisgah, Iowa, is repealed and the following adopted in lieu thereof: 6-5-10 RATE OF SEWER RENT AND MANNER OF PAYMENT. 2. The minimum charge per month shall be $34.00. In addition, each contributor shall pay a user charge rate of $8.00 per 1,000 gallons of metered water used. Each property holder who owns a metered property but does not consume water shall be assessed the minimum charge. SECTION 3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. Severability. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged to be unconstitutional or invalid, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of this ordinance as a whole, or any section, provision or part thereof not adjudged unconstitutional or invalid. SECTION 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be effective from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law, whichever is later.
