Local writers wanted: Help tell Harrison County's stories
The Harrison County Times-Reporter wants freelance writers who love the community, like to meet people and want to write. Writers are paid per story. We need coverage focused on Logan, Woodbine, Missouri Valley, and Modale.
You don't need journalism experience, just solid writing skills, curiosity and interest in your community. High school students who want experience are welcome to apply.
Assignments may include city council, school board and county meetings, human interest stories, business profiles, local events and interviews with athletes and other notable people.
Writers should also take photos for their stories. A smartphone is fine.
To apply, email Don Harrold, executive editor, at editor@enterprisepub.com and include a sample of your writing. A school essay, blog post or letter is welcome.
