LEGAL NOTICE Iowa Code 273.8 – Area Education Agency Board of Directors Notice is hereby given that the Green Hills AEA (Area Education Agency) will be accepting Statement of Candidacy submissions for election to the Green Hills AEA Board for Director District 5. Director District 5 consists of all of the following community school districts: AHSTW, Boyer Valley, Harlan, IKM-Manning, Logan-Magnolia, Missouri Valley, Treynor, Tri-Center, Underwood, West Harrison, and Woodbine Districts and Voting Data, School District, Percentage Vote AHSTW 11.2% Boyer Valley 5.8% Harlan 18.8% IKM-Manning 9.8% Logan-Magnolia 6.7% Missouri Valley 11.7% Treynor 7.3% Tri-Center 8.1% Underwood 9.1% West Harrison 5.6% Woodbine 5.9% Total Vote 100.0% The board of directors of an area education agency shall be elected by a vote of the members of the boards of directors of the local school districts located within the director district. The member of the area education agency board to be elected may be a member of a local school district board of directors and shall be an elector and a resident of the director district, but shall not be a school district employee. A member of an area education agency board shall not serve on the board of directors of a merged area. This board member shall serve on the Green Hills AEA Board of Directors for a term of four (4) years, beginning the first regular meeting of December 2025. A candidate for election to the area education agency board shall file a “Statement of Candidacy” with the Green Hills AEA Board Secretary not later than October 15, 2025. The statement of candidacy is available at the school board offices in the corresponding Director District and the administrative offices of the Green Hills AEA, 24997 Highway 92, Council Bluffs, Iowa.
