CITY OF MONDAMIN SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES Mondamin City Hall Monday, February 21, 2022 7:00 P.M. 1. Opening of Meeting a. Mayor Jamie Howrey called the meeting to order at 7:01 p.m., leading those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. b. Roll Call Council members present: Mary Seago, Karen Breyfogle, and John Glennie. Jim Rains and Terry Coyle by phone. Public Present: none. Staff present: Alyx Hirst. c. Approval of Agenda Clerk Hirst asked to add “public hearing” to the agenda before item (a) is carried out. Motion made to approve agenda with changes by K. Breyfogle, with a second by J. Glennie. Motion carried 5-0. 2. Public Comments None 3. New Business a. Public Hearing for FY 2022-23 Proposed Property Tax Levy Motion to open the public hearing by K. Breyfogle at 7:03 p.m. Seconded by J. Glennie. Motion carried 5-0. No written comments were received. No public comments. Motion to close public hearing at 7:14 p.m. by K. Breyfogle and was seconded by M. Seago. Motion carried 5-0. b. Resolution 2022-08: Approving FY2022-2023 Maximum Property Tax Dollars Motion from K. Breyfogle to approve Resolution 2022-08 with a second by J. Glennie. Roll call. All ayes. Motion carried 5-0. 4. Other Business a. Budget Review Mayor Howrey, members of the city council, and city clerk were present to review the city budget. The council did not feel it was necessary to speak with Sonya Hespe from ClerkBooks. 5. Adjourn Having no further business to conduct, M. Seago made a motion to adjourn the meeting and it was seconded by K. Breyfogle. Motion carried 5-0.
