Mayor and/or Commission Reports: Nikki – Parks & Sewer / Streets, Mike – Lights, Ronny – Water & Landfill, Scott- EMA Old Business: - 301 First St. Property: City owns property, does not have to sell and Mayor will not do a quick deed. Clint will call Attorney J Frisk about “wild deed”. J Parks must pay outstanding water bill, all attorney fees and fulfill all property clean up obligations including tree removal. 1st K Wilson 2nd M Carson Yes 5-0 - Overtime Payroll: City Attorney Clint will draw up an offer of a merit raise to offset the non paid past overtime with stipulation that a future Council must agree upon resolution package. 1st S Baumfalk 2nd N Madsen Yes 5-0 New Business: - City right-of-way parking – C Harris filed a customer complaint – neighbor is blocking her parking area. Per City Attorney – all easements are open / public and accessibility cannot be blocked. Mayor will consult with neighbor to resolve parking issue and a fence may be built. C Harris wants to mark off a driveway and have rock delivered. - Property Cleanup – Mayor will discuss hazardous structure, spraying weeds in ditch and mowing to try to resolve issue before sending letter & putting a lien against property. Part-time and fill-in labor – Put an add in the newspaper for additional City help. 1st S Baunfalk 2nd K Wilson Yes 5-0 - Water Distribution Project – USDA – Water Loss/Water Rates – City needs a grant for water system. Will need to do a rate study, and look at water bill collections, and water loss due to meter tampering. - Building Permit – Agenda was Amended to include T Hamer’s Building Permit for a small shed and deck. Council agreed for resident to proceed. Clerk Report: Maintenance, Water and Sewer – T Noah – Email list for quarterly Newsletter to include people living outside of City limits. Will get a bid for removal of a large tree in the City Park. Upcoming grant ideas scheduled projects are concrete sidewalk and picnic tables in Clark Park, concrete for City Park hydrant.
