Motion to approve contract; 1st K Wilson 2nd S Baumfalk Yes – 3-0 New Business: - Beers – Building Permit – Building a new home; Council Approved Permit – Yes 3-0 - Water Rate Increase Resolution / Hearing – Motion to approve; 1st K Wilson 2nd S Baumfalk – Roll call vote; K Wilson, L McWilliams & S Baumfalk – Ordinance #03212024-1 passed. - Harrison County Sheriff Contract – Motion to approve; 1st L McWilliams 2nd K Wilson – Yes 3-0 Mayor B Mitsch signed / dated. - USDA Application Resolution – Motion to accept the USDA Application Resolution; 1st S Baumfalk 2nd L McWilliams – Roll call vote; K Wilson, S Baumfalk, L McWilliams – Ordinance #03212024-2 passed. - Property Cleanup – Have had complaints – Council decided to do a City Drive-around and make a list of addresses that will need to be sent Cleanup Warning Letters. - Loitering – Have had complaints – Council decided to contact the Sheriff about a homeless man sleeping in the towns parking lots. Clerk Report: H Nejedly – Appreciates the flexible schedule of working Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. and extra days / hours as needed. Maintenance, Water and Sewer Report: T Noah – Reported that he pulled multiple water samples this week per USDA requirements and is moving forward on the city-wide survey for the water project. He is also working on the Consumer Confidence Annual Report, and Lead and Copper Inventory. Fire Department: T Noah – A new member joined the Dept. Received Grant money for new safety gear. The flatbed should be ready for pickup soon. The Fire Dept is planning to have their next fundraiser the first week of May.
