T Hamer and B Mitsch Mayor and/or Commission Reports: Nikki – Parks & Sewer / Streets, Mike – Lights, Ronny – Water & Landfill, Scott – EMA Public In-Put: None Old Business: None - 104 Pine St. property update – Previously owned by End of the Road, LLC was purchased by Traveling Hunt Club, LLC. They completed the Utility Service Application and paid the required $200 deposit fee. The old house will be demolished, and a new home/hunting cabin will be built. New Business: - C & H Hauling is transferring its business to R & S Waste Disposal effective 7/1/23 – Landfill raised rates 8%. This increase will result in a .50 cent increase per household from $12.50 to $13.00 per month. 1st K Wilson 2nd S Baumfalk Yes – 3-0 - Resident T Hamer Neighborhood Watch – T Hamer will facilitate the six volunteers and continue to solicit more residents to participate. He would also like to have a Mission Statement and offer some basic training for the group. Meetings will be held at the DRN Visitor Center. - Building Permit for a Fence, V Rickards – 1st K Wilson 2nd L McWilliams Yes – 3-0 - Building Permit for a Fence, D Jackson / T Jones – 1st S Baumfalk 2nd K Wilson Yes – 3-0 - Mayor R Woodward asked to be reimbursed for Flowers purchased for Pisgah’s Main St. – Total $40.23 Yes – 3-0 Clerk Report: All good! Maintenance, Water and Sewer Report: T Noah – Reported he is working with the USDA on the exploratory water study and the insurance company to cover repairs to the burned pump house. New signs are needed for the Pisgah Tree Dump and new NO TRESPASSING stickers for old, faded signs. Iowa Rural Water is doing a water rate study and will advise the city of their findings when complete. A large rainstorm caused major damage to the water tower road. T Noah made repairs, but more work will need to be done. Fire Department: T Noah – Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser was the best they ever had! The public was very generous and appreciative and really showed their support this year. Due in part to the Preparation Canyon wildfire that devastated hundreds of acers of land, it brought a great deal of attention to the local volunteer firefighters and departments that fought the blaze.
