Harrison County Supervisors Meeting February 24, 2022 Chairman Walter Utman called the meeting to order with members John Straight and Tony Smith in attendance. Motion to approve the tentative agenda was made by Smith, second by Straight. Unanimous approval. Previous minutes were approved on a motion by Smith, second by Straight. Unanimous approval. Attendance: Auditor Susan Bonham, Paul J. Rhoten, David Weigelt, Steve Smith, Brian Donn, Rebecca Wilkerson, Judy Dick, Jeff Soetmelk, Brenda Loftus, Nick Loftus, and Laura Soetmelk. Liquor License Pending the submission of the dram shop, the Board approved the renewal of the liquor license and Sunday sales for the Willow Creek Banquet Hall on a motion by Straight, second by Smith. Unanimous approval. The Board approved the renewal of the liquor license and Sunday sales for the Logan-Missouri Valley Country Club on a motion by Straight, second by Smith. Unanimous approval. Handwritten Warrant A handwritten warrant to US Bank in the amount of $7,377.08 was approved on a motion by Smith, second by Straight. Unanimous approval. FY23 Budget The Board worked on the fy23 budget. Claims Claims, as presented, were stamped for approval. Public Comments (condensed) Brenda Loftus – requested to be on the Board’s agenda regarding annex and agland. Rebecca Wilkerson – Comments about minutes. Comment about Member Smith’s response to Rebecca regarding the assessor from Chairman Utman. David Weigelt – No salary increase for the Board. Laura Soetmelk – Presented a request for a public information. Unknown – Asked about sheriff deputy wages. With business of the day completed, the Board adjourned on a motion by Straight, second by Smith. Unanimous approval.
