Minutes of the Special Meeting Board of Directors Missouri Valley Community School District Thursday, December 21, 2023 Call to Order President Jeff Janssen called the meeting to order at 7:30 A.M. on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the District Office Conference Room, 109 East Michigan Street, Missouri Valley, Iowa. Roll Call Present: Jeff Janssen, John Ferris, Joanna Barnard, Carrie Watson and Bridget Myler Absent: None Also Present: Superintendent Christi Gochenour and Secretary Ashley Anderson APPORVE AGENDA Director Barnard motioned to approve agenda. Director Myler seconded. All Ayes; motion carried. BOARD GOVERNANCE Approval of Lease Director Watson motioned to approve the leasing of three buses from Hoglund Bus Company with the total purchase price of $458,000 interest rate to be determined at a later time. Director Barnard seconded. All Ayes; motion carried. Approval of Meeting Change Director Barnard motioned to approve the January 8th regular board meeting to be moved to January 10, 2023 at 6:00PM. Director Watson seconded. All Ayes; motion carried. Approval of Purchase Director Ferris motioned to approve the purchases through Jimmy King Grant as discussed in the amount of $62,000. Director Myler seconded. All Ayes; motion carried. Approval of Purchase No Motion ADJOURNMENT The next Regular Board meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 10, 2023, to begin at 6:00 P.M. Director Barnard made a motion to adjourn the meeting, and Director Watson seconded. All Ayes; motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:47 A.M.
