WEST HARRISON COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION SPECIAL MEETING-6:00 PM March 31, 2021 LIBRARY-MONDAMIN, IA The West Harrison Community School District Board of Education met in special session with the following present: Randy Wohlers; Jennifer Thomas; Julie Kuhlman, Tim Hamer, Tammy Neill, Mr. Marty Fonley, Superintendent, Tonya Radil, Board Secretary/Treasurer Visitors. Jessica Hopkins Called to Order. The meeting was called to order in the Library at 6:00 p.m. by President Wohlers. Public Hearing FY 22 Certified Budget. The proposed Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Budget was opened at 6:00 p.m. There were no comments from the audience and no written comments that had been submitted. The hearing on the Proposed Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Budget was closed at 6:01 p.m. Human Resources. Motion was made by Director Thomas and second by Director Hamer to accept the hiring of Megan Behrendt (Special Education Teacher). No Objection. Ayes Directors Kuhlman, Wohlers, Hamer, Neill and Thomas. 5-0 Motion was made by Director Kuhlman and second by Director Thomas to approve the hiring of Tasha Haag and Kasey Vanausdeln to be the Junior Class Prom Sponsors. No objection. Ayes Directors Kuhlman, Wohlers, Hamer, Neill and Thomas. 5-0 Motion was made by Director Neill and second by Director Thomas to accept the resignation of Grant Staats (Math Teacher). Discussion. No Objection. Ayes Directors Kuhlman, Wohlers, Hamer, Neill and Thomas. 5-0 The School Board has moves into an exempt session at 6:04 p.m. The School Board has returned to open session at 7:16 p.m. The next regular board meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. April 14, 2021 Adjournment.
